Mi wna'm gorphwysfa dawel byth

Forever here my rest shall be

Mi wna'm gorphwysfa dawel byth,
  Iesu yn dy ddilyth glwyfau;
Bellach fy ngobaith fydd a'm ple,
  'Th fod yn fy lle yn dyoddeu.

Pur waed ei galon
    ddaeth yn llif,
  Tros fy aneirif feiau;
I'm cànu'n wyn fel lliain main,
  Oddiwrth bob stain a brychau.

Fe ddofodd llid
    cyfiawnder llym,
  'Does ganddo ddim i'w wneuthur;
Mae'r gwaed yn gwaeddi, hedd yn daer,
  Trwy'r nef a'r ddae'r yn eglur.

O golch fi beunydd, golch fi'n lân,
  Golch fi yn gyfan Arglwydd;
Fy nwylaw a'm calon, pen a'm traed,
  Golch fi â'th waed yn ebrwydd.

Bedyddia fi â'r Ysbryd Glân,
  Fel tân pwerus nerthol;
Caiff ysbryd, barn, a llosgfan fod,
  Ar bechod yn wastadol.
Bedyddia fi :: Bedyddier fi
Fel tân :: A thân

I will make my quiet resting place ever,
  Jesus in thy unfailing wounds;
Henceforth my hope will be and my plea,
  That thou wert in my place suffering.

The pure blood of his
    heart became a stream,
  For my innumerable faults;
To bleach me white like fine linen,
  From every stain and spot.

The sharp anger of
    righteousness passed away,
  It has nothing at all to do;
The blood cries out, peace on earth,
  Through the heaven and the earth clearly.

O wash me daily, wash me clean,
  Wash me completely Lord;
My hands and my heart, head and my feet,
  Wash me with the blood immediately.

Baptise me with the Holy Spirit,
  Like powerful, strong fire;
The spirit, judgment and burning may be,
  On sin continually.
Baptise me :: May I be baptised
Like ... fire :: With ... fire

tr. 2009 Richard B Gillion

Forever here my rest shall be,
  Close to Thy bleeding side;
This all my hope, and all my plea,
  For me the Savior died!

My dying Saviour,
    and my God,
  Fountain for guilt and sin,
Sprinkle me ever in Thy blood,
  And cleanse, and keep me clean.

Wash me, and make me
    thus Thine own,
  Wash me, and mine Thou art,
Wash me, but not my feet alone,
  My hands, my head, my heart.

The atonement of Thy blood apply,
  Till faith to sight improve,
Till hope shall in fruition die,
  And all my soul be love.

I do believe, I now believe,
  That Jesus died for me;
And through His blood, His precious blood,
  I shall from sin be free.
